Bewley's Irish Breakfast Loose Tea is an invigorating blend of high grown Assam and Darjeeling teas.
Harvested in India, its strong flavour is best complemented by the addition of milk.
it was a bit hard getting to taste the tea. The order took six weeks to arrive in Germany, Misteriously circled in the orbits of Anpost. Telephone calls to Bewleys to no avail! Room for improvement here.
Now, the tea: It has an excellent price/quality ratio. All of Bewley's teas are pretty strong and straight, the sort of tea you would need when waking up on a rainy morning on pre-historic Earth and remembering that there isn't a bus due in several million years. Well, there are these mornings. Of the three loose teas on offer, Afternoon is my preferred one, As to the Irish Breakfast, it is annoying that no origin(s) of the blend is/are indicated either on the website or the package. From the windswept tea plantations of Tipperary, perhaps? At any rate, it keeps me awake and going!
Yes, I made that order in early December and it still has not arrived. The order number is 2183. Using the An Post tracking number CB020922176IE, I see that the order got to Heathrow but it has been there for more than four weeks!! Can you help? Thank you. Michael Kenneally
